Weight Limits & Tonnage

A dumpster can reach its practical weight limit even when there is still visible space. This is especially important for concrete, dirt, brick, masonry and other dense materials.

Before loading heavy debris, confirm whether it is accepted and what weight limits apply. Ask how additional weight is measured and billed if the provider uses weight-based disposal charges.

Distribute dense material rather than creating one concentrated pile. Never add material simply because the container does not look full.

Keep your material list accurate when requesting a quote. A change from household debris to heavy construction material can change the appropriate container and disposal plan.
