Safe Loading Techniques
Load from stable ground and avoid climbing into or standing on the dumpster. Keep people away from unstable piles and use safe lifting practices for bulky material.
Place heavier debris first when appropriate and distribute it rather than stacking a dense load in one corner. Break down bulky items where safe so they do not create unstable voids.
Never load above the top edge or allow debris to protrude from the container. Keep prohibited or uncertain materials out until they have been confirmed.
Keep the area around the container clear for the delivery and pickup vehicle. If loading conditions change or you discover an unusual material, stop and confirm the proper disposal approach.
