Construction Waste Planning

Construction waste changes as a job progresses, so the container plan should account for both the type of work and the order in which debris will be generated.

Separate dense materials from bulky mixed debris when possible and identify materials that may have special disposal requirements before the job starts.

Plan where the container will sit relative to the work area and truck access. Keep the route clear, avoid unsafe loading practices and do not overload above the top edge.

If the project has several phases, discuss the expected debris volume and schedule in advance. Availability, container options, accepted materials and weight limits should be confirmed for the specific project.
